What is this method?

Assign stems and branches to six coin-cast lines, then list palace-relative categories and host/guest positions. Select the focus from the question. This differs from simply reading line texts.

What you need

Six line values from bottom to top, casting time/timezone and a focus appropriate to the question; random generation is available.

How to read the result

★ marks the selected focus and ○ a moving line. Read host/guest and relative categories, then month/day, void and changed lines; spirits alone do not decide an outcome.

Advanced: day boundary, DST and chart conventions

Defaults usually suffice. Change these when a record lies on a time boundary or you intend to follow a different convention.

The repeated hour when DST endsIf clocks move from 02:00 back to 01:00, 01:30 occurs twice. This selects that occurrence; it does not turn DST on. Skipped spring times are rejected.
